Sun City offers the largest and most comprehensive conference, event and exhibition facilities in the Southern hemisphere.Whether it is a conference for 20 or 6 000 delegates, we have the capacity to fulfil your requirements.

Sun CityThe Hall of Treasures Exhibition Centre is seemingly carved out of  the rock face with a fibre-optic starscape ceiling, creating a dramatic space. It is a versatile and flexible 1 250m2 venue, comprising two separate areas each 740m2 and 510m2  espectively. The bottom section can accommodate 410 delegates at a banquet dinner.

The Superbowl is the largest conference area at Sun City   with a capacity for 6 000 seated delegates. This indoor auditorium has the finest lighting and sound equipment in Africa and provides an excellent platform  or superstar performances, major international sporting events, exhibitions, beauty pageants, conventions and banquets. Banquets of up to 1  250 people for dinner can be accommodated.

Engage your conference guests with unique dining experiences at Sun City. Enjoy a themed beach party at  the Valley of Waves, stylish dinners at the Observatory Deck or The Amphitheatre, African meals at the Lost City Crocodile Lounge, The Boma or the  Baobab Outlook. You can even combine great food with great action by making use of the Sun City Superbowl, where spectacular international shows  bring the audience to their feet.


The Palace of the Lost City


The Palace of the Lost CityWithin The Palace are three meeting rooms opening onto the Elephant Atrium dominated by the life-size bronze sculpture of Africa’s famous elephant, Shawu.

State-of-the-art equipment is available and 24 hour professional assistance is on hand. Banquets at The Palace are also a memorable experience due to the fine dining banquets and breathtaking scenery. All of the conference facilities at The Palace are superbly elegant and reflect the prevalent African theme. The Palace features the following venues:

Orchid Room / Protea Room
Each room is 7m by 6,5m, and in total can accommodate 80 people in theatre style seating. The decor carries an element of the rich, verdant foliage of the gardens and dramatic carved-stone design features.



Royal Chamber Sun City Hotel
Another luxurious room with doors set beneath arches of windows which overlook gardens. This double volume area can accommodate 90 for a banquet and 180 in theatre style seating. Within the Royal Chamber; mahogany paneling reaches up to the hand-carved ceiling with elephant heads serving as corbels. From the coffered ceiling hang four three-tier chandeliers in bronze and faux horns. At the far end of the room is a console table resting on carved elephant legs.

Council Room
This boardroom can accommodate 14 people and opens onto a terrace. The superbly hand-carved chairs surround an oval table inlaid with six different types of wood. Carved wood paneling decorates the walls with French windows on the eastern side opening out onto a spectacular view of the resort.

The Cascades


The Cascades

Striking, beautifully coloured birds and fish are at home in the Cascades gardens and lakes which cover the gently sloping hillside.

They are laced with footpaths which wind between tens of thousands of exotic and indigenous trees and flowering plants. Lush gardens, tropical birds and water features give The Cascades its unique and relaxing atmosphere.  A sophisticated, elegant hotel.

2nd Floor Boardroom
This venue is ideal for planning meetings and can accommodate up to 8 people.

4th Floor Boardroom
This venue can accommodate up to 20 people but only seats 10 people.

Royal Observatory Deck
A dinner venue under African sky overlooking the Royal Bath can accommodate up to 320 people and 550 people for a cocktail setup.

Amphitheatre
This venue is surrounded by gas torches and can accommodate up to 200 people.

Valley of Waves
The Valley of Waves can accommodate up to 1000 people. A seperate, private beach area can accommodate up to 100 people.

Monkey Spring Plaza
Beyond the rumbling Bridge of Time lies a venue ideal for pre-dinner drinks.  Groups can easily be accommodated here before making their way to their dinner destination.

Hall of Treasures
The Hall of Treasures is a Sun City exhibition venue which can hold a maximum of 25 stands of 3X2 meters.  The venue can also be used as a cocktail, lunch and dinner venue.

Superbowl

The Superbowl, Sun CitySituated in the heart of the entertainment centre and has 12 doors leading to the venue.  Sitting capacity of 6000 for a concert.  The venue has an octagon shaped arena with a portable end stage constructed of wood and built in modules measuring 2mx1mx1.5m high.

The total stage width is 33 meters and a height of 8 meters.  The depth of the front of apron to the back of stage is 14 meters.  The superbowl has a steel grid above the stage.  The house curtain is a heavy velour and is electronically operated by a control motor. Access to the stage and dressing room is from the back of house.  The auditorium can be carpeted.

There are 2 star suites, each with sitting room, bathroom and dressing room. These suites has a communicating doors, hot and cold snacks can be provided if required, and the public does not have access to this area.  2 standard, 10 person dressing rooms and 1, 29 person dressing room are also available.  All have toilet shower facilities, and each person has a fully lit separate make up cubicle.

The control booth for lighting and sound is 35 meters away in the front of the stage, raised above the main floor.

The Pilansberg Room
This venue can be divided into 1/3 and 2/3 only

There are 13 breakaways rooms at the entertainment centre and they are situated adjoining the pre function area of the pilansberg room, door 8 and door 11 of the superbowl.

  • The cat rooms: lion, cheetah, leopard, lynx, civet
  • The buck rooms: eland, sable, impala, kudu
  • The bird rooms: owl, kestrel, eagle and hawk.

Trader Horns, Silhouette and Club Chirp can be privatized for group’s after dinner parties.

The ultimate venue in South Africa.  Enjoy dinner under African skies inside an enclosed area in the game park.  Find yourself surrounded by wild animals and wood burning fires as you sample the African cuisine.

A smaller boma in the game park, which can accommodate up to 200 people.

Gary Player Restaurant and Terrace
This venue can be privatized for cocktail and dinner after the golfers have left.

Tennis Hut
A perfect venue for a cocktail function.

Sun City Hotel Pool Deck
This venue can accommodate up 500 people for a cocktail function and up to 250 people for buffet function.

Sun Terrace Restaurant
The restaurant can be privatized for dinner, however the venue is available under the roof for maximum 380 people, and total 600 people for cocktail.


Sun City Theatre
The Sun City Theatre has wooden levels with seating capacity of 250 people for shows and seating capacity of 400 people for conferencing. Conferencing seating will consist of 2 rows of banqueting chairs on each level with tables removed.


Letsatsi Centre

The newly refurbished Media Centre, now known as Letsatsi Centre, boasts a fresh, new modern look with all the latest trimmings.  Situated on the first level of the Sun City Hotel, the Letsatsi Centre which can seat up to 160 delegates, features venues named after the various animals roaming the malaria-free Pilanesberg National Game Park i.e Nkwe – the Leopard; Tau – the Lion; Tlou – the Elephant; Tshukudu – the Rhino; Nare – the Buffalo; Kubu – the Hippopotamus and Thutlwa – the Giraffe.  Each venue can be customised to individual clients’ set up instructions and requirements.

The Cabanas

The Cabanas Boardroom
This venue is ideal for planning meetings and can accommodate up to 12 people.

The Palm Terrace
This restaurant consist of an A, B and C station.  The restaurant has an area that is not covered.    The maximum number of people the venue can accommodate is 500.  The C-station is often  privatized for groups.  Maximum capacity under cover is 180 people.

The Waterworld Picnic Lawn
This venue is situated on the larger part of the lawn in front of the luxury rooms and adjacent to the mini golf. Groups can enjoy a picnic lunch and and this venue can accommodate up to 600 people.


The Lake Side Picnic Lawn
This venue is situated on the smaller part of the lawn in front of the standard rooms and adjacent to where they launch the parasailing.  Groups can enjoy a picnic lunch and the venue can accommodate up to 200 people.

From traditional story telling to hand washing ceremonies,  experience this unique dining experience.

Shebeen
Enjoy food and drink the traditional township way.  This venue can be privatized for up to 250 people.  For smaller groups, sections of the venue can be privatized, however, please note that the venue will still be open to the public.

Thaba Ye Letsatsing – Mountain in the Sun
Be flown by helicopter to the mountain and enjoy views of the Lost city.  A maxiumum of 120 people can enjoy breakfast, lunch or pre-dinner drinks on the mountain.
