About The Area

Lagos is the most populous urban area in Nigeria and is currently the second most populous city in Africa. It is also estimated that Lagos is the second fastest growing city in Africa and seventh in the world. Formerly the capital of Nigeria, Lagos is a huge metropolis which originated on islands separated by creeks, such as Lagos Island, that fringe the southwest mouth of Lagos Lagoon, protected from the Atlantic Ocean by long sand spits such as Bar Beach which stretch up to 100 km east and west of the mouth. From the beginning, Lagos has spread on the mainland west of the lagoon and the area, including Ikeja and Agege, now reaches more than 40 km north-west of Lagos Island. The city is the economic and financial capital of Nigeria.

The Wheatbaker will be located on Ikoyi, one of the three main islands (together with Lagos Island and Victoria) making up the Lagos Lagoon which forms the central business district of Lagos – Nigerias financial hub.

Meetings & Functions

The Wheatbaker will offer conference facilities for up to 200 delegates and full business centre facilities including wireless internet connectivity.
